Starbucks Brand to be Amplified by Nestlé Alliance

Some big news for the global Starbucks brand – it recently announced an alliance with food-and-beverage giant Nestlé, which Starbucks sees as a significant strategic milestone.

Nestlé has now gained the perpetual rights to market Starbucks packaged goods and foodservice products worldwide, outside of Starbucks coffee shops, which Nestle’s hailed as ‘an unparalleled position’ in the coffee industry.

For Starbucks, the deal opens the door for global expansion in grocery and foodservice for the brand.

Kevin Johnson, Starbucks president and CEO, said: "Bringing together the world's leading coffee retailer, the world's largest food and beverage company, and the world's largest and fast-growing installed base of at-home and single-serve coffee machines, helps us amplify the Starbucks brand around the world.”
