Most equity crowdfunding and investment sites use standard username and password authentication. Growthdeck uses this too: your email address acts as your username and you choose an 8-character password of your choice. However, we also provide a second stage of authentication that utilises a 6-digit PIN. If you choose to use this extra layer of security, then you will be asked to enter your PIN when logging in. To set up the PIN, log in using your email and password and visit your Portfolio page. Under the Profile tab you will find an option to add the PIN. You can turn this functionality off at any stage. Should you forget your PIN, then you can a) add a new one if logged in, b) request a reset if not logged in.
